Jasper Morris: 90-92 Points
One of the fresher colours with a purple edge. A fine delicious and refreshing raspberry fruit to the nose builds to a very substantial mouthful on the palate without any feeling of heat. Mineral tension abounds and then the last burst of pure red fruit at the finish. Excellent persistence.
bhBurghound: 89-91 Points
A slightly riper and more elegant nose presents notes of red currant plum violet and earth but less sauvage nuances. The sleek round and nicely caressing medium weight flavors are not quite as dense but they do possess a finer texture and a refreshing salinity on the sneaky long finale. Aux Etelois tends to drink well young and the 2019 version should be no exception if you don't wish to hold it to full maturity. (Drink starting 2027)
